Municipal Services
Every municipality provides child protection services with child welfare as the top priority. Services include family counseling, guidance, home support, leisure activity participation, and foster care (short-term up to 2 months, or long-term). What Counts as Neglect or Violence
All physical and psychological punishment is considered violence: spanking, pushing, humiliation, screaming, and threatening. Neglect includes failure to provide food, clothing, medical care, supervision, or emotional support. Violence can result in imprisonment.
How to Report
Reports can be made anonymously — online or by phone to your municipality. In emergencies call 112. Schools, preschools, hospitals, and police are legally obligated to report any child welfare concerns. All reports are reviewed by child protection authorities.
